History
The name "Prà di Levada" derives from the fact that this was the highest part of the area (then marshy) and was crossed by the via "Annia" - Roman consular road of which exist still witnesses (Ponte Romano).
The building complex was donated in 1490 to Bolla by Pope Innocent VIII to the Monastery of S. Maria degli Angeli.
The Villa and the Barchessa were built at the end of the 16th century and the delightful little church annexed to the Villa, where ceremonies and religious rites are often celebrated, dates back to 1668, at the time of the Mother Abbess Marcello Loredan , as evidenced by the dates on the stone walls on the facade.
The Barchessa underwent various transformations over the centuries, it was the property of the Baroni Franchetti which further modified the structure giving it its current appearance .
In the early 1900s the entrepreneur Cav. Giuseppe Franchin bought the estate from Baron Jacopo Franchetti and still the property belongs to the Franchin family.
The Barchessa was the subject of Margherita Franchin , current owner, of an accurate structural recovery under the protection of Superintendency of Environmental Heritage of the Venetian Villas , which highlighted the merits and purity of the lines (Palladian front).
VILLA
The building complex has been prepared and adapted to host various events: ceremonies, congresses, business dinners, parties, fashion shows, meetings, cultural events, shows, concerts (up to 600 seats).
We can accommodate external tensile structures, in the lawn adjacent to the forest, with a capacity of up to 500 people seated.
WHY CHOOSE US?
The villa has a ground floor with two rooms of 160 square meters each with colonnade and exposed beams, under which 5 imposing polychrome Murano chandeliers shine. The first floor has a room of about 400 square meters. open space with lift for the disabled. It also has a 100 square meter outdoor terrace and a suite for the newlyweds. Finally, the 180 square meter berceau is an excellent solution for welcoming guests before the event or during the same to guarantee a corner of tranquility and refreshment above all in the summer months.
